Xiaomi’s HyperOS represents a huge step forward, leveraging the characteristics of both AOSP and MIUI. The New HyperOS integrates both AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and MIUI elements to make it’s devices more stable and customizable. Let’s have a look at How to Install it on any Xiaomi device.
Requirement’s:
Before going to the installation process, ensure you have the following:
- Xiaomi Device: make sure device compatible with hyperOS otherwise use xiaomi.eu ROM
- Stable Internet Connection: A good internet connection for downloading the necessary firmware files.
- Enough Battery: make sure your device has sufficient battery to complete the installation process.
Steps
Step 1: Check Device Compatibility
go to xiaomi official site and check if your device officially support HyperOS, if not then search some alternative rom like xiaomi.eu
Step 2: Backup Your Data
before Installation, must backup all of your important data and move it to pc
Step 3: Enable Developer Options
go developers option and enable usb debugging & oem unlock
Step 4: unlock bootloader
follow the official Xiaomi unlock process and unlock bootloader of your device
Step 5: Download HyperOS Firmware
download latest version of hyperOS for your device , reference 1, reference 2 & extract the downloaded zip
Step 6: Connect Your Device to Your Computer
plug your device to your computer using the usb cable in fastboot mod, you can access fastboot mnod by holding volume down and power button at same time
Step 7: Install HyperOS
go to firmware folder and Run flash_all.bat
Step 8: Wait for the Installation to Complete
wait until the flashing process is complete, once done, unplug device and switch it ON. & setup new new HyperOS
How to Upgrade to HyperOS Via Local Update:
For compatible devices, Xiaomi is expected to give official guidelines and over-the-air (OTA) upgrades. for that go to settings/system update and join the beta program or check if stable HyperOS update is available.
